Maintenance

Some clocks just need a good cleaning, oiling or adjustment. We recommend servicing your clock every 2-3 years to prevent excessive wear and tear.

 

Repair

Experienced with EVERY type of clock from rare and antique to newer and electric. If I can't get a part, I'll make one!

about me title

My love of clocks started with the 2 generations of men before me. As a child, my Grandparents house was full of them. At the age of 9, I remember my Grandfather showing me how to put a clock in beat. That’s when it all started for me! I tinkered with clocks throughout my childhood and at the age of 17 my Dad gave me a broken Waltham Car Clock and a box of miscellaneous parts. He said if I could fix that, I could fix any clock! I had it running in less than 24 hours.

My Grandfather, Tom Jefferson, had a passion for clocks as far back as I can remember. After retiring from a long career in 1980, he turned his passion into a business repairing and restoring clocks. After his death my Dad, Jim Jefferson, worked his Dad’s clock repair business into his antiques restoration shop. Over time, the antiques moved out and the clocks kept coming in. He had a successful clock repair business in Hemet until retiring a few years ago.

    I feel so fortunate having found Jefferson's Clock Repair & Restoration. Joshua is passionate about his craft and it shows. I asked him to come out and check my Howard Miller Grandfather clock, since the company I had used before has closed and the owner retired. There are fewer and fewer quality clock repair businesses around anymore, and I was worried that I wouldn't be able to find someone dependable and skilled. .

    Joshua was thorough and explained exactly what he was doing, what he was looking for as far as wear, and found the only thing my clock needed was to be oiled. I appreciated his honesty and his skill. I highly recommend Joshua!

    Josh immediately responded to my inquiry about my grandfather clock repair and made an appointment to visit my home within a few days. Prior to the clock being repaired, I was considering selling it, but as soon as I heard those nostalgic chimes, it brought tears to my eyes. I was overcome with emotions as memories of my grandmother and her home flooded me. I immediately knew there was no way I was selling this clock, even if it didn't match any of my decor. Josh brought back something I didn't know I was truly missing and I am forever grateful. I smile every time I hear those chimes.
